Nah, you're just growing up ;-). I think it is normal that you try to expand your horizons a bit, I was also a big Techno head a few years back but now I just buy & play what I like. But mostly in a 4/4 frame. Plus the fact that a lot of the deephouse on a more "experimental trip" (eg not played with real instruments) reminds me of early Detroit Techno.
