I remember spending an evening watching a friend getting to work on some old 45s with a cigarette lighter and some razor blades.....he didn't mark the music but he cut notches in the run-out groove and "recorded" his own beats and clicks and zaps, then mixed them up.........also he wasn't averse to using rolls of sellotape and cups of tea on the decks in other creative ways......far too destructive for me, interesting sounds though.
