when I wrote the liner notes there was definitely a track off the first BUaRP EP ... I remember my pulse racing. :)

Motor plans to do a live broadcast every night they're open - Fridays and
Saturdays for now, and eventually Tuesdays (or so I've been told). They also
plan to broadcast from all three rooms, although I'm not sure if this will
take place immediately.

I've worked with Rockhouse in the past. Before I discovered other, -good-
online shops. They have a really, -really- large catalogue, but most of it
seems to be out of stock. My first order with them took a week getting
here, but the second took way, way too long (they hold orders for up to 8
weeks before giving up on 'out of stock' items to be restocked). I would
recommend using them only if you can't find what you need in a serious,
highly customer-aware shop, say Groovetech ( :) ), Juno or Hard-To-Find
records. Rockhouse do seem to have a way of getting rather hard to find
European (especially Dutch..) records, though.

I must have been half asleep when I wrote this...correction, "plumb" was
not on that ltd DEC promo 12" that neil released..."plumb" was actually on
the time:space compilation CD on Transmat. there was suppose to be a 12"
of songs neil had done from a while back that derrick may was going to
release on Transmat called 'blue science / between dubnotes.' Anyone have
any info on if this is going to see shelf space in a record store soon?

Would also be interested in hearing some more new songs by Tony Drake as
well...his album that was released on Transmat a few yrs ago through R&S
was very deep. like love songs...techno ballads.

State warns of meningitis risk
 <<...OLE_Obj...>>
The state is warning of a meningitis risk stemming from a party in Mason
Count. The state Department of Community Health said today that a young
woman who attended a rave party near Hoags Lake in Mason County last weekend
has developed a potentially fatal form of meningitis. Officials said other
party-goers should get medical treatment right away.
The Department of Community Health said the woman has contracted
meningococcal meningitis. She appears to be recovering while hospitalized,
but has been unable to identify all people she potentially came in contact
with, the department said. The department recommended all people who
attended the party receive precautionary treatement for meningoccal
exposure.
The department said it was reported that the party involved much drinking
and sharing of a pacifier which had been dipped in the drug "ecstasy." It
said it also appears there was "a considerable amount of close contact
between the young woman and many of the other attendees at the party." And
those people may be at serious risk, it said.

anybody heard minus yellow ??

thanks

yes I have a copy ( thanks Clark:-)
it is worth buying just for the nice clean minimal yellow sleeve with the
indented logo in the corner!
..Minus yellow is more like a remix of the original oh yeah
It has a prominant vocal line and Rich's 909 over top
It sounds like a DE9 mix of the original
ie like what the original sounded like in a club with Rich spinning it circa
98
It also has locked groove loops of some of the best sounds Rich added over
this "original" mix to make it Orange
With the yellow mix and those locked grooves, + the original + either his
DE9 12" or the orange 12"
 = a 3 turntable mixing feast!!!
try it you might like it

Hi everyone,

First of all, I'm new to this list, so what's up (!) to all of you.

I've been trying to track down CDs by DJ Rolando. I ordered "The Jaguar",
but can't find a way to order "The Aztec Mystic Mix" or "Interstellar
Fugitives" by Underground Resistance. Can someone help me?

Thanks,

Alex Gomez

I realize A Guy Called Gerald isn't Detroit, but he has a lot of connections
with Detroit and also played at the DEMF.

Anyway, Gerald played three sets in SF last night at Amoeba Records, a Beta
Lounge live set and at Justice League.
I missed Amoeba, but at Beta Lounge (www.betalounge.com), he played
predominantly House and Techno and very little Drum 'n' Bass (and looked
very bored for most of the set).
Yet, at Justice League, Gerald played some grinding Techstep for an hour,
then stopped and started playing Tech/House to end the evening. Good stuff
if you're into A Guy Called Gerald, definitely a wide variety.

we'll have his set online in a few hours. i think maybe low key, and
uhhh ..."herbal" would be a better way to describe his vibe at the
Lounge.

nice man, excellent set, busy schedule :-)

the other night john simmons played moodyman record that i loved. the only
thing wrote on it was "moodyman" after his set i asked him what it was, he
said it was untitled. and he thought i was released 6 months ago but wasnt
sure.. anyway it starts out with a preacher or something, a big acapella
for about 2 minutes, as if you were in church or something then it goes into
the track. theres also a theo parish track im looking for but im not sure
of the name. i think its called "agrohead", maybee afrohead. not sure but
late in the track it comes in with these dope piano loops. can anyone shed
some light on these two records.
