Using 3.0b3, AMD64 version. After install, at first boot, when X
starts, my machine hangs blackscreen, not at all responsive. Works fine
in Puppy 4.2.1, in which I am typing right now. I set the runlevels to
turn off X at boot, and when I try to reconfigure X (using Xorg
-reconfigure), I get
I have attached the output of "lspci | grep -i vga" as well as the
entire output of "lspci" just in case.
By the way, the motherboard is an MSI K9N6PGM2. nVidia GeForce MCP61P
+ nForce 430 Chipset, according to its box.

Greetings. I have just installed 3.0b3 into my old Toshiba laptop. All
is very well so far, except that the Atheros AR5212/AR5213 wifi is
detected as a wired, not wireless, interface, and so the wireless
network detection system isn't being engaged. What can I do to help?

You can always install madwifi-tools from source.
You will need the kernel headers and various -dev packages to compile
though.

I would like to run Qsynth on just one or two (or at most four) MIDI
channels. In other words, I want to keep a Qsynth engine on MIDI
channels 1 through 4, and add probably two or three Yoshimi processes on
channels 5, 6, and 7. But Qsynth has been insisting on eating the whole
MIDI channel b
