Hi!
It's getting real hot in here...
Like Dave, I'm also of two minds about this topic and I was quiet a long
time. On one hand some people seem to be interested about Ralfs
postings, on the other hand I can remember that there have been at least
three or four arguments about them since he subscri

The words "pot", "kettle" and "black" come to mind. If Ralf has a right to
fill the list with posts that are off-topic (ie don't relate to the di

Free software, but don't be too free with it. Be like this with it, and not
like that.

I'll quickly add to this, and thoroughly endorse Kevin's articulate
and throughtful post.
I left 64 Studio for Gentoo out of choice, and the desire to build a
studio from the ground up for a specific purpose. (See
www.openoctave.org.)
But my experience with 64studio 3.0. beta was a rewarding one,

My 64 Studio isn't really heavily customized, anyway, you are the one
with the USB MIDI device ;), so OT, but important:
The MidiSport Dave is using mi

Sometimes people just write "Wow, the distro is great!" ... I do agree.
I wish that those people should also write what especially they do like.

I never was gone.
I do understand that it would be better to write less mails then I do
write sometimes ;).
I don't understand that using the flexibility of Linux should be bad ;).

As a fairly new member of the Linux/64studio world, I have enjoyed reading this
list so I can glean anything that may be of use. I have to say though, I agree
with recent comments re the high volume of listings from one member.
As a newbie I have enough trouble trying to fit the linu
