In sources/contrib/miller/usb/audio I've put a modified usbaudio which
works with the Griffin iMic - another small(ish) usb audio adapter, which
can record as well as play back.
Before I submit this as as a patch, I'd be grateful to anyone who could
try it with other usb audio devices, to check wh

We got one ath the labs. Plugged it into Plan 9. It works. It
actually outputs a lot of oomph into my headset. Nice
device.
44100 or 48000 Hz, 16-bit stereo. Has mute & volume control.

Ok thanks for letting us know!
I had lost that email and couldn't sufficiently search it. I thought
it might be you. I remember it was from almost a year ago.

no, the auxiliary controller can be either UHCI or OHCI.
you always need two slightly cooperating USB drivers now.
i know, it's pathetic, but all the new things strive to
fit in well to the original PC model.
That also reminds me. I sort of passed a torch of sorts with that
OHCI USB adapter support in Plan 9 due to a lack of time. Anyone know
what's going on there or if it's worth it since I guess USB2 support
should probably work in a degraded UHCI mode?

That's that outfit form York, Pennsylvania I believe. We were fans of
them when I was a teenager and selling this stuff out of Electronics
Boutique. :-)
I'm thinking I'll get one of these regardless of functionality with
Plan 9. They were, at one time, SB16 compatible.
