I export via nfs from plan 9 to (l)unix at home. I think clients have
included OS X, linux, and openbsd.

I'm not sure the LOCAL share works. You might need a share name
which corresponds to something
anyone actually exporting nfs from plan 9 to linux?
Or are you all using the linux 9p implementation?
