Just checking bridge access to the ANL institutional venue for the Town
Hall tomorrow, and find that there is no 'Use unicast' option on that
venue, or for that matter, on any of the other venues that I've checked
that have had this enabled in the past.

Any progress on better instructions here?

Hello all,
Is it just me or the UNICAST option under the preference is no longer
available before you get in a venue and even after you are signed in. In
the past I was able to select UNICAST or MULTICAST. Right now it only
allows MULTICAST under the preference. Did Microsoft do anything to

I am interested in hearing how those of you using the Logitech QuickCam Orbit
camera have liked it. I have read some good and bad reviews and I figure that
if this is what I am using it for (which is my plan) then it would be
beneficial to hear from those of you who are using it.

that has to be the most tackful suggestion i've gotten all year, Ivan!
good job! ;^)
yes. i can set the Source Inputs to SVideo and save the configuration and
set it to the default config and it always comes back up with port

This might be too elementary to have not been done, but have you tried
reconfiguring using the Node Management stuff and saving your new
configuration?

The port problem has been filed under bug 1067.
I have tried everything to fix the port problem. Even if I hardcode the
values it reverts back to Composite1.

yeah. i believe the video port issu is a feature that should be
investigated further.
all this time i assumed i wasn't transmitting video because my two sources
don't show up on VIC. i actually decided to test with another node to see
what came up when i was swapping out S-Video for composite, e

I'm not a vic expert, but my understanding is that muting the streams only
prevents the receiving computer from taking the time to draw the images, and
that it doesn't have any impact on the data traffic to the machine.

I have sort of the same problem. My VICs all default to composite1. If I
manually change the port in the vic menu to Composite2, I see my video just
fine. As soon as I change rooms it defaults back to Composite1. It's like
it ignores the node management resource settings for the ports.

Hello.
I'm having problems connecting to VenueServers with my WinXP AG2.2
VenueClient. At first I thought it was a networking problem, but then I
tried to run a VenueServer on the same machine and still couldn't connect
to it. (I seem to connect, but get instantly unconnected). I can't connect
