You can try to sever the linein-lineout passthrough by doing something
like:
/usr/bin/amixer -c 0 cset numid=18,iface=MIXER,name='Line Playback
Switch' off
You might need to do a
/usr/bin/amixer controls
To find the exact numid for your card's 'Line Playback Switch'

I saw that and used it. No errors were displayed when I was having
problems. The application would just hang forever.
It seems to be working automagically now, save rat crashing every 15 to
20 minutes.

Hi all,

Hi Lee,
At TRECC we use the Polycom ASPI EF2280. It has built in Noise Cancelling that
can be dialed in on each mic channel - value of 0-15. TRECC has a lot of HVAC
noise that other sites do not hear when we are in session. The NC works great.
The ASPI's are more sophisticated then the Gent
Just a shot in the dark, as I don't know the driver, but it
could be that some aspect of the system is not full duplex,
as raising one level is affecting another.

While trying to diagnose some multicast connectivity issues, much board
swapping has led us to suspect that some of the intermittence is due to
the card itself and/or its driver. Using the beacon server display at

My understanding is that the AP400 has now been completely superceded
by the XAP400 and are only made to order now. The XAP400 has a couple
of other nice features like automatic leveling that can come in handy.

Hello Jason,
I am copying an old message thread to you that includes information on how to
solve this issue. Also, I will forward this to the ag-tech list so other
people can take part of the solution as well. Let me know if you have more
questions.

The proper source is selected, line-in, and I am sending audio. The
problem is that the slider is not adjusting the record or capture
level, but instead the volume of the immediate playback through
line-out/speakers of what is being captured. The slider gives me
local reinforcement when I don't w
Hi,
One thing to try is running the "Venue Client (Debug Mode)" shortcut. This
should give you a prompt which will list all the error messages output by
the toolkit. You may need to scroll up a bit to see all the errors.

Hi,
Check what is displayed under "Talk" next to the arrow (>). It should say
something like "Microphone" or "Line In". Clicking on the arrow (>) cycles
through the various options. Note that if you can hear audio, you may still
not be sending audio. If the wrong item is selected by the arrow
Hello,
I am wondering if anyone has suggestions for alternatives to a gentner
setup for a large classroom? I have thought about using the ClearOne AccuMic II
but I do not think that would be powerful enough for our setup. We have a 20+
person classroom with some overhead noise.
Thank you,
Hi Juli!
In case of unicast you have to open a port range of 4 ports to enable
unicast access to a unicast-multicast bridge.
The bridge itself should be located within a multicast network as far as I
know to be able to translate the unicast packages to multicast packages and
the other way round. W
