Hello gang,
I just ran a GI (Google Image) search for AccessGrid and found quite a few
interesting pictures. It's good to see some of the familiar faces.
Anyways, just thought I would share! Have a good weekend...

A question came up about the Kids on the Grid event in the NCSA venue server
lobby this day. No one has to formally sign up to participate and there is no
formal agenda. Just show up. If you happen to pop in when two or more sites
are already in the middle of a conversation and/or interacting
Yes, same here. We use AG on the desktop more and more. Once our users
are familiar with it, it works well. There is a learning curve and a
certain frustration level that has to be dealt with before it can be
used effectively...

I agree with John on this... I am not convinced having an integrated
chat is the answer either. To me, a text chat can play two fundamentally
different roles, the role of a back-channel communication for the techs,
but also the role of an out-of-band communication channel for meeting

Chun-Yu,
Please let me know which meeting you are having trouble with. We have seen
problems in the past depending on the filename extension used. I may just
need to add a MIME type for you.

The integrated chat tool can be useful. It is especially
handy if node operators do not use other tools. I had to
use it just the other day. But, the primary reason I prefer a
separate application and machine for backchannel communications
is that it is independent from the multicast networking

You have all the right software, but I would recommend that
you upgrade to the AG 2.3 release; it is much more stable than
2.2.
If a user has personal data, and you can make a SOAP call to their venue client,
you will see the list of personal data. I think the personal
data functionality is large

I have seen problems uploading from MACs...

Hello,
I just uploaded a few files to the NCSA AGschedule. But it seems like
there is some problem downloading the file. Error said, " The requested
site is either unavailable or cannot be found." Who should I e-mail to
report this kind of problem at NCSA?

Hello,
I think jabber is great. But I just cannot locate the right jabber room
