A question came up about the Kids on the Grid event in the NCSA venue server
lobby this day. No one has to formally sign up to participate and there is no
formal agenda. Just show up. If you happen to pop in when two or more sites
are already in the middle of a conversation and/or interacting

These are interesting comments. Thank you, Shudo-san.
It makes me wonder whether it might be interesting at some point it
might be interesting to have an event on the AG for children, and try to
organize it in a way which could be enjoyable for people regardless of
the language they speak. Youn

I thought it was started in the UK, so looked it up and
found I was wrong - it was 2, and then 4, Canadians!
It's certainly very popular in the UK.

Assuming that you are in charge of operating a Daughters and Sons
Day event between US and Korea, US and Japan, or US and Thailand,
what do you do?

excellent ideas -
we will need to see that the venue is bridged for those who might have
multicast difficulties - we have had a recent plague of router upgrades
(Juniper).

Hi -
There will be people at WPI to man our main node and I think that
we would like to be part of such an event. Let's go ahead and
start planning it - as we do so, others will join. :)
We need to think about what we can do with the kids that will make
the visit more than just a game. . .wha
Hi Gavin,
I believe April 28 is the last day of the AG Retreat 2005. It might be
hard to get the nodes rolling since most of their people will be at the
retreat. But it would also be a great idea to have it running as a
"background" on the last day of the retreat :-).

Is there any interest in organizing a venue for Daughters and Sons Day
on April 28th? Penn State will be having tours through our facility
from 8AM to 12PM EST.
Would the main Venue Server Lobby be a good venue for this? Or should
we reserve another?
Cheers,
