The Income-tax exemption limit was retained at Rs. 2,50,000/- in the 2019 interim budget. A exemption of maximum Rs. 12,500/- was provided for individuals whose taxable income was not more than Rs. 5,00,000/- There was no benefit for individuals whose taxable income was more than Rs. 5,00,00
