No you can even use caps lock key if you are using laptop keyboard layout.
Just press it twice to use its original function.

speaking of capts log only works in desk top layout and not in laptop
layout. if you would like to use capts log function please change your
key board layout to desk top layout. hope this helps.

1. go to setting center.
2. tab til you get search box and type manage key labels.
