Here's another one for the good news file. 3 U.S. citizens have been successfully treated by gene therapy for the condition LCA (Leber's Congenital Amaurosis). It seems that with more research, the technique used in Philadelphia to treat those 3 people could be adapted for other eye conditions. Further research is being done in the USA and the UK.
