Respected sir, Sub: request to spread a word about the computer training programme at Snehadeep Trust Bangalore from June BASIC COMPUTER TRAINING COURSE Snehadeep trust, a leading NGO, commences free computer training course 2012 for the persons with visually impaired ABOUT SNEHADEEP Snehadeep Trust for the Disabled is a non-profit and charitable organization working towards the upliftment and betterment of the differently abled in the areas of education, computer training and soft skills. It also spreads its wings far and wide to include development of the girl child, and education and empowerment of destitute women in its agenda. MISSION STATEMENT To make the differently abled employable, thus bringing them to the main stream and to help them lead a life with dignity and economic independence. LEADING THE WAY Snehadeep Trust for the Disabled was established by 3 visually impaired graduates, with a strong will to educate the differently-abled and create opportunities for them. The backbone of the organization is the buoyancy of these three strong-minded men. The founding trustees are: Mr. Paul Muddha as its managing trustee. He envisioned the emergence of morally empowered and economically independent students from Snehadeep. Mr. K.G Mohan and Shriman B.G. Two of the three trustees have received the national awards for persons with disabilities for their social work. Last year Snehadeep has successfully placed 9 candidates in good jobs including two in State Bank of Mysore, Canara Bank, State Bank of India and three in govtof Karnataka. Guaranteed employment to candidates performing well in the training programme. Our main focus areas is to provide Free computer training for the visually impaired. This program helps The blind in their reading and education as well as enables them in Their employment and career opportunities. The new batch for training the visually challenged would commence from 4Th June 2012. The course duration is of 9 months starting from June 2012 to march 2013. The course covers basic operations like working with files and folders, creating and managing user accounts, CD burning , scanning books on Windows XP operating system. MS Office 2007applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint. Configuring Outlook express, carrying out frequently with E-mails and internet, with browsers such as Internet Explorer anzilla fire fox etc. with screen readers such as JAWS13, and NVDA. English Communication classes which includes employment training, career guidance, soft skills, Counseling and Personality Development. Many eminent personalities in different fields in training and employment would be involved in guiding and assisting the candidates during the training program. The ultimate aim of this course is to make The candidate employable and use computers for the all round development. Eligibility criteria: Higher Secondary (10+2) Proficiency in English Preference given to graduates and post graduates Age limit: 18 to 30 Number of seats: 12 Course fee: Rs1000 (refundable) Last date of admissions: 25Th May 2012.
