Dear Friends,

Sharing a great news here. At Union Bank of India, very recently our
training college has circulated INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL FOR ACCESSING FINACLE
WITH JAWS FOR UNION BANK OF INDIA VISUALLY IMPAIRED EMPLOYEES (Finacle
basic tasks) to all the regional heads. This is a good step taken by bank's
training college in empowering VI staff of the Union bank.

With a proud feeling for Rahul Gambhir, Assistant Manager from our Delhi
North regional office who has prepared this manual which is vetted by
bank's training college. During the finalization of this first version of
manual, I played a role of reviewing manual with few inputs. Rahul
Gambhir's proactive work while handling his main role as a credit
monitoring officer and his idea to generate resource has set an example and
a wonderful lesson to all of us. Rahul also did an impressive presentation
for ensuring effectiveness of training programs for visually impaired
employees through video conferencing in a faculty meet last year which has
initiated this process.

If such efforts of convincing and documenting our explorations and findings
/ learnings will be done by many of us then we will have good resources
generated to help our V I bankers. Today we have thousands of V I bank
employees and more will be joining sector.

I am happy at Union Bank we have solid resource of people like Yogesh
Taneja, Arpit Jain, Jerin Jose, Vishal Sharma, Richard, Gabriel, Pushkarraj
Pandey, Umang and many more with good social and technological
background. Everyone
is adding their bit on accessibility front. This is one more way I suggest
you can work on grouping of same bank V I people (internally) so that you
can help each other better.

Congratulations for such a wonderful job to Rahul Gambhir.

Best,

Prashant Naik
