Dear Ashwaniji,

I am currently using ICICIdirect and finding it fairly accessible. I
have tried equity, IPO, Mutual Fund, Portfolio tabs only. I have not
checked there other tabs like postal saving, F&O, overseas trading,
insurance and margin trading etc They are providing two types of
websites: Standard website and a low bandwidth site (for slow internet
connections) Apart from websites they are having a CallNTrade facility
in which customer can call there helpline number and make trade
confirmations over phone. I think 5 transactions are free in a month
while they are charging Rs. 25/ call after that. There email based
customer support is also quite prompt. SMS facility for stock alerts,
demit transaction is also fine. In case one is planning to go for
ICICI direct than one must apply for 3-in-1 account only.

All is fine except the fact their sales representatives are normally
very poorly informed. They are not very clear about forms, where
signatures are required to be put. I had opened an account 5 years ago
and it took 3 months to open the account and set it rolling.

Regards,

VS
