The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, is pleased to announce the 'Divyang Bands of India,' a nationwide online musical band competition specially designed for music enthusiasts with visual impairment. This competition aims to provide a platform for these talented individuals to showcase their skills and performances at various events, representing their respective states and union territories. It will be an inter-state competition, with each state being encouraged to participate. The competition will identify and reward the top three bands from each state with attractive prize money. The winners will receive Rs 15,000 as the first prize, the first runner-up will be awarded Rs 10,000, and the second runner-up will receive Rs 8,000.
