Dear List,

One low vision candidate successfully cleared the written exam of
State Government's Information and Technology department, in which he
was provided a writer. The problem arose in the typing test conducted
by the department, as no magnification software / assistant to read
the screen was provided to him, due to which he could not keep the
proper speed in the test.

After searching Rajasthan's rules on employment of persons with
disability, which provide for exemption from typing test to such
candidates. A case is being filed in Rajasthan before CCPD, Rajasthan.
He has asked for either the software, or the exemption. Without which
disqualifying someone is not justified.

It would be great if any Central Government employee either working in
the same ministry as data entry operator or any other such person
could throw some light as to how did they deal with the typing test.
Any other support will be appreciated.

Regards,
