This tool exists, and you may already have it on your computer or phone.
Dropbox is a great solution for storing important notes, collaborating with

CAVI is offering a 3-hour workshop called Getting Productive and Organized
With Dropbox. It will be held on September 8, 2013. CAVI instructor Monica

gracefully. She will share a wealth of tips and tricks you can use during
the workshop.

The following topics will be covered:

* How do I create and manage folders in Dropbox?
* What is selective sync, and how do I use it?
* How do I share a file with someone?
* How do I share a folder and collaborate with someone ?
* How can I access files from my phone or tablet?
* How can I use Dropbox for notetaking?
* How can I record lectures on my iPhone and get them into Dropbox
automatically?
* How can I backup my files in Dropbox?
* How can I make sure my files are sent and stored securely?
* Can I stream audio or video files from Dropbox to my phone or iPad
without downloading them?
* Are there other cool and unique things I can do with Dropbox?

the workshop, an mp3 file of the workshop, detailed written notes covering
all aspects of Dropbox usage, a web page with links to useful projects
people are doing with Dropbox, and access to a special email address where
they can ask questions about Dropbox and get help for up to 60 days after
taking the course. There will also be a drawing for a prize, a $25 gift
certificate from Amazon.

This workshop is open to anyone, whether they are a current CAVI student or
not. The cost of this workshop is $30 in US dollars. The fee needs to be
paid at the time of enrollment.

There are three easy steps to enroll.

1. Use the "pay for course" button on CAVI's Cucat site
<http://www.cucat.org> to pay for the course. When you make your $30
payment, please put the word "Dropbox" in the additional notes field of the
payment form.
2. Please send an email to dropbox-course at ciscovision.org to let
Monica know you've sent a payment and want to enroll. She'll send you a
welcome message with log-in details for the server.
3. If you don't already have Teamtalk, please download and install the
client for your operating system from the Teamtalk home page.
<http://www.bearware.dk> Please let monica know if you need help doing this
before the workshop. You can do this by writing to the email address listed
in step 2.

We have written a step by step setup guide for Teamtalk.
<http://www.wiki.cucat.org/index.php?n=Main.SettingUpTeamtalk> It can help
most users get going in a matter of minutes. Teamtalk works best under
Windows, and we can help Mac Users move to the right channel if needed.

We're looking forward to seeing you on September 8th.
