Basic Computer Training & Introduction to Access Technologies for VIs
(Orientation Course)
Dear friends,
The XRCVC Viviana Extension is delighted to
announce the third batch of Basic Computer Training & Introduction to
Access Technologies for the Visually Challenged (Orientation Course on
Computers & Access Technology).
Course Code:
BCT-AT
Eligibility Criteria:
1.
A functional knowledge of English
2.
Participants may be allowed to attend the course
not more than twice
Course Objectives:
At the end of the Basic Computer
Training & Introduction to Access Technologies for the visually challenged
course, the participants would be able to:
1. use the computer independently for
daily living & educational functions (as required).
2. use the varied access technologies
independently.
Evaluation:
Participants will be evaluated based on
attendance, performance, regular reviews and a final test which will be
conducted at the end of the training cycle.
Certification Offered:
A completion certificate will be
provided at the end of the course after a basic test, subject to satisfactory
attendance, good conduct and conscientious work.
Course Details:
Duration: 48 hours
(i.e. 6 hours a week for 8 weeks)
The course commences from 3rd
December 2015 on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Time: 4 pm to 6 pm.

7. Resources for the Visually Challenged
8. Sources of Access Technology Devices
