Freedom Scientific Announces New Focus 80 Blue Braille Display
(St. Petersburg, Florida, January 4, 2013) - Freedom Scientific, the
world leader in assistive technology for those that are low vision or blind,
today announced another member in the popular Focus Blue family of refreshable
Braille displays.

The sleek new Focus 80 Blue is one third the volume and forty percent
lighter than the previous Focus 80 display but packs even bigger features,
including Bluetooth® and a highly refined keyboard design.

"Eighty Braille cells is long enough to give you an appreciation of the
way a document is laid out, which can really help you produce a well-formatted
document," says Jonathan Mosen, Freedom Scientific's Vice President of
Blindness Hardware Product Management. "It's also long enough to reflect the
layout of your computer screen when you are working with database applications
such as in a call center. This is a device any Braille reader will love to have
on their desk."

Focus 80 Blue features both Bluetooth and USB connectivity, and is fully
compatible with JAWS® BrailleInT providing Contracted Braille input in many
Windows applications. It is also compatible with the full range of iOS 6
devices, so you can access your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch via Bluetooth. You
have keyboard navigation throughout the Home screen and apps, and you can type
and read in Contracted Braille or Computer Braille.

      Pricing and Availability
The new Focus 80 Blue is priced at $7,795 with a two-year warranty and
will be available in February.

For full details of the entire Focus Blue family, including the Focus 40
Blue and the Focus 14 Blue, the perfect companion to mobile devices, visit the
Focus Braille Displays product page.
