He did his Ph.D. at Syracuse University. *He is currently completing his dissertation on the self-advocacy movement of the blind in India and a biography of Lal Advani, a leading disability rights advocate and father of rehabilitation services in the 20th century. His recent publications include “The Role of Residential Schools in Shaping the Nature of The Advocacy Movement of The Blind In India” and a chapter co-authored with Susan L. Gabel, “Inclusion in Indian Education,” both in Susan L. Gabel and Scott Danforth,* Disability Studies and Education *(Peter Lang Publishing, 2008).
