A visionary Vice-Chancellor's tenure is coming to an end. This VC
never used the university car nor sat on his official chair.
 He kept the doors of his office open, especially on Monday, for anyone
 to walk in. Talking about never facing opposition and refusing to have
 security, Sopory said, "I was clear in my mind. The day I will not be
 able to walk from office to my residence or to any other part of the
 campus I will not stay as VC. What is a point if a VC cannot walk in
 his campus?"
