Federation of the Blind has announced four Annual Awards for distinguished
Visually Impaired persons of Karnataka in different fields of life.

You all are requested to come forward for availment of qualifying award and 
disseminate this information among your friends who deserve for the same. The
circular pertaining to the awards is enclosed herewith.

OFFICE CIRCULAR IN REGARD WITH ANNOUNCEMENTS OF AWARDS OF HONOURS TO VISUALLY 
IMPAIRED PERSONS - 2007

It has been the consistent policy and endeavour of the National Federation of 
the Blind to recognise and develop the innate potential of its visually impaired
friends and bring the same to societal attention.

Since its inception, the Karnataka chapter of the Federation has been promoting 
this glorious tradition by honouring the distinguished visually impaired
personalities of Karnataka for their extra-ordinary achievements.

In its process to continue this practice, the Executive Committee of National 
Federation of the Blind-Karnataka State Branch in its meeting held on 8th
July 2007has decided to announce the following four annual awards of 
felicitation to its visually challenged brothers and sisters in the name of 
"National
Federation of the Blind-Karnataka State Branch Louis Braille Memorial Dignity 
Award-2007"

1.         Best Visually Impaired Student of the State-Senior (1 Male, 1 Female)

2.         Most successful Self Employed Visually Impaired Person 2007

3.         Most successful Visually Impaired Married Couple 2007

4.         Visually Impaired Community Dignitary Award 2007.

General instructions in regard with the availment of the award are as follows:

1.                  All awards shall carry a prize of Rs.2000/- along with a 
certificate of appreciation.

2.                  The last date for receipt of application for all awards is 
31.10.2007

3.                  The format of application and all necessary information can 
be obtained from the office of National Federation of the Blind-Karnataka
State Branch at the above mentioned address.
