The selection of programing Language should be concluded by the
objective/nature of intended work.
html/php etc are better for web pages.
For the beginner, I recommend Basic and c++ for more advance study.
Python is an good alternative.

I looked at a couple of the books: they were pdf files hosted on google drive.
The PDF was readable and doesn’t seem to be just scanned images.

I think that most of the users are more comfortable using windows. For
instance, I've never used Linux as such. And, I'm sure many more
people interested to learn programming would face the same situation.
