Banking major State Bank of India dedicated its 5555 the Talking ATM to the nation on the occasion of State Bank Day on 1st July 2014. This was inaugurated by Smt. Anshula Kant, DMD (Operations - National Banking) at Wodehouse Road Branch, Colaba, Mumbai. The Talking ATM enables visually challenged customers of any bank to carry out ATM transactions through voice guidance. To begin with, the three most important functions viz. cash withdrawal, balance enquiry and PIN change facility are available over voice guidance in two language options viz. English and Hindi.
