Handicapped (NIVH). This Short Term course will be run free of cost at

Below are the details related to the course:
Goal:
This Short Term Course has been designed keeping in mind the growing demand
from professionals and students with visual impairment. This course will
help persons with visual impairment to use the Web Resources effectively.
Eligibility:
- Visually impaired candidates who have completed 10 + 2 or above.
- Knowledge of Basics of Computers using JAWS/NVDA screen readers
is a must.
- Good English, communication skills.
Course Content:
• Introduction to Internet
• Accessing in internet and Email
• MS Outlook
• Accessing various search engines
• Online Braille Library
• Online directory of services
• Social networking sites like Facebook, twitter
• Online communication tools like Skype
• Accessing in internet on Mobile and Mobile Apps
Approx. Date: Monday, 27th October 2014 to Friday, 31st October 2014
Timings: 9:30 am to 5.00 pm

For candidates out of Karnataka State, travel costs will be reimbursed upon
production of tickets of Ordinary buses/trains. (only Ordinary/Non A/C bus
or sleeper class train fare will be reimbursed)
For local candidates and candidates from Karnataka, travel costs will be
reimbursed as per NIVH regulations (RS.200).
For all outstation candidates, food and dormitory accommodation will be
available.
