Thanks for all the guidance.
I have Windows 11 and NVDA. As mentioned since the past days after the
NVDA update, complete access to messages on whatsapp web is limited.
I am able to read the messages but not word by word. Also not able to
download or copy.
Could you please guide me about

press shift tab until you reach unread message(just 2 times).
from there you can use arrow key to read individual messages.
after finishing reading, press tab you will reach chat list after 2 or 3 tabs.

I had installed whatsapp beta, the problem which I am facing is ,I
can able to navigate through the chat list by pressing the arrow keys,
if I enter on a particular person in my chat list ,the focus moves to
the message of that particular person

I don't have any issues with my internet connectivity. All the chats
on Whatsapp web are getting loaded, but I am unable to read the
messages and attachments with latest version of NVDA.

I tried opening the whatsapp web on Google crome, but still the issue
persists. Also, I tried changing the mode to HTML, but the command is
not working with NVDA.
Looking for any other alternative way.

the present work around is you have to press insert+spacebar, turn of
html mode, press tab until system says messages list then turn on html
mode by insert+spacebar again.
in jaws, pressing PC cursor numpad + should do this successfully.
