Well, there are a few cases where Microsoft will actually give you a
free upgrade, I don't remember all but ,
> one was if you have bought your computer after June 22nd with Vista preloaded.

No updates to OS. You have to buy it. Once bought, you may perhaps
upgrade a few of the applications you are using (precisely which of them
are updated needs to be cchecked), but you have to buy the OS.
