Dear AllWe take this opportunity to invite you at the launch ceremony of the accessibility initiative at Viviana Mall, Thane, spearheaded by the XRCVC. We have collaborated closely with the mall authorities and, on the occasion of World Braille Day on Sunday, January 4, a slew of initiatives including audio-tactile store names, audio-tactile floor plans and audio-tactile restaurant menus will be unveiled. These will be scaled up comprehensively to include all restaurants in the mall as also the mall website. What is also important is that the mall staff would be appropriately sensitised. In order to create general public awareness with regards Braille and accessibility, a Braille-based treasure hunt is also planned for other sighted visitors at the mall on that day. We look forward to meeting you and your participation in the launch. I would request those who are coming to drop me a mail offline so that we can make arrangements for refreshments. More importantly, it would be great if you could use and spread the word about these accessibility services, so that other service providers actively join the accessibility bandwagon.Details: Date: Sunday, January 4Time: 4 pmVenue: Viviana Mall, Main Atrium, Next to Jupiter Hospital, Eastern Express Highway, Thane WestBest Regards, Dr. Sam Taraporevala ------------------------------------------Director Xavier's Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged(XRCVC) St. Xavier's College, Mumbai - 400 001...@xrcvc.org +91 22 22623298 (D) +91 22 22620661-5 (B); extn: 366 +91 9869378436 (M) +91 9967028769 Celebrating Louis Braille birthday Jan4th
