I want to record some books with the help of my mother. She is not
familiar with mobile or pc. Which device can be used for recording
purposes other than mobile and pc?

voiceover but easy for use another would be enjel oocket reader

the angel and daisy recorder comes with voice prompts, and, without
any sighted assistance, you can use it.
rather than that, you can awaile the fecility of fm alarm, and other fecilities.

Other than p c or mobile, there are many devices for recording. daisy
players, recording devices just like pendrive, professional recording
devices, etc. You can use any one of these for recording the books.
