Andrej, can you try compiling nsc-ircc as a module and running setserial
/dev/ttySX uart none port 0 irq 0 before modprobing it ? ttySX should
correspond to the UART

The bug is back in Ubuntu kernel 2.6.15-20-amd64-generic. Since I don't print
much from ubuntu, the bug may also be there in the previous couple of releases
as well.
