The patch from comment #38 changes ACPI resume handlers to occur in pm_finish,

Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services,
I don't know if I've said this yet, but on my MSI motherboard, the
problem affected me in Dapper, but it was fixed by edgy. But as of an
upadate about 2 weeks ago, i've got the problem back.

It's not the screen brightness. If I go xset dpms force off and then do
another 5min test under otherwise the same conditions as before, I get 24W.
