I did not have to use the acpi=force option. With my setup it seemed
turning off the cool and quiet option in the bios alleviated the
shutdown reboot issue,however. I'm on a desktop machine so this is not
an issue. Users who need cpu scaling may not want to turn of these
types of options.

Things seem to work fine with 2.6.18 and radeonfb. I have been able to use dri
and havent seen the problem over the last 18-20 suspend/resume cycles on my x22.
