Natilie this should be solved, or if it remains it is a driver bug.
pci_save_state, pci_restore_state were reworked to be more robust

I have just got working suspend-to-disk! I just set up the VESA framebuffer in
the kernel, and I added 'vga=0x31B video=vesafb:mtrr:3,ywrap' kernel boot
parameters to grub in or

Sorry, I was wrong.
On Linus git tree, one could see the patch going in:
Follows: v2.6.20-rc7
Precedes: v2.6.21-rc1
The methods are very similar and I looked at the wrong one.
