Yes, I see many things at /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/.
But:
1) It reports wrong frequency (while understand higher Bogomips)

I have added CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEBUG (as well as ACPI debug) options to kernel
2.6.23 and rebooted with added line cpufreq.debug=7...

I experience the SAME (e.g. no power management, thermal control, cpu speed
step...) on Intel D975XBX2 rev.507, BIOS 2674 and/or 2770.

When I tested it the first time, the Bios was not the latest. Meanwhile I
flashed it to the latest and loaded defaults, but there doesn't seems to be
anything changed.

Tested it just now on F11B for my Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. M57SLI-S4 (MB
rev 1.0). I didn't recall seeing an HPET option in the BIOS before, made sure
