Now there is another problem about your system. When booted with acpi=off, the
system reports that nobody cares IRQ 11.

I tried the patch from comment #3.
The 2.6.23-mm1 kernel without the patch re-programs the RTC interrupt with the
wrong polarity.
With the patch applied the RTC interrupt works
