Latest BIOS (7KET56WW - 1.26-1.06 - 2007/10/18) does NOT fix the problem on R61
7732-1EG (Santa Rosa chipset) running Fedora devel on kernel 2.6.23.1-42.fc8.

I can confirm I have this on a Lenovo ThinkPad X61, using Ubuntu 7.10 (
2.6.22-14-generic AMD64 kernel).

My BIOS(1.07) for the X61T is dated 10 October, I see 1.26 for the T61 is dated
18 October. The changelog for both of these look similar. Mine definitely still
shows the problem

Additional question: The brightness change notify events are driven by the
firmware, right? So there's no chance to fix the duplicate events besides a
custom DSDT, is it?
