I was thinking that if a valid DescriptorLength is passed (2 or 3), then we
use that value. Anything else means don't care, let the code figure out what

Unfortunately the power_status sequence comes from the KBD port (irq 1, AUX
flag not set). So i8042.nomux=1 won't have any effect. I also tried
i8042.noaux=1, without any
