Suspend and hybernate have been a recurent problem under ubuntu since I
use it (2 years) for Inspiron 9400. I think, and I'm sad to say, this is
absolutely not one of the first concerns of kernel developpers. I just
hope it will eventually works as it is a major bug and it's hard to
convince people

I have just tried the 2.6.25-rc9 kernel, and it works. The PC powers off
normally.
