It shows that timer interrupt is routed to INT0 of IOAPIC.
Thus the propagated override for IRQ0 on your Laptop is bogus.

The cpuid4 emulation is independent of ACPI yes and should be active in MPS
mode
too.
Also the _exit function should be only called at boot when some error happens.

The default reboot_type is BOOT_KBD. It works for most boxes. But for some
