well, at least this doesn't sound like a critical shutdown issue.
is the screen blank or switched off without backlight?

Note that,
for test #1, your computer should resume automatically after about 5~10
seconds, and then you can attach the dm

i'm not shure whether first dmesg log is proper, first echo mem >
sys/power/state caused my machine to shutdown and halt, so dmesg output was
created after reboot.
