The reason there is no compilation error for the Z00x objects is that the
disassembler is automatically generating external statements for the missing

In fact, this is not a BIOS, but only a kernel bug.
With recent acpica compiler there also is no warning for the Z00x usage (did
you see an error/warning here?):
