On my side (with 2.6.23.1), DOS={1,3,7} work all the same: fine. Only 0 freezes
the computer.

But the laptop hangs in SMM mode if _DOS is set to 1.
Something strange is that windows works well on this laptop.
This makes me doubt if windows set _DOS to 1 b

But in the ACPI spec, section "B.4.1 _DOS (Enable/Disable Output Switching)" it
says the default _DOS value must be 1.
