Dear List, I have been reading some confusing information about processor support in Windows 2000 Server but the articles have no dates, so I cannot see which information is the most recent. My concern is that I have read Windows 2000 will only support 4 processors when upgrading from an NT 4.0

Mark, that isn't accurate. Windows 2000 server will support 4 processors on a new install and Advanced server will support 8 processors for a new install. I would be curious to know what publication or tech doc stated those facts. Forward the link if possible. Thx, Joe - Original Message

Check your security permissions on the GPO or if you have security groups, check you permissions on that and see if anything has changed there. You may need to add and remove the individual or group to correct the scenario. That fails you might try the Domain Administrator and have them clear
