[ActiveDir] ADS Replication Through Satellite Connection

2003-03-11 Thread james . blair
All, I was wondering if any of you have utilised this method for ADS replication, I am having a bit of trouble. I have a USB satellite modem with integrated NIC which has a statically assigned IP Address and a class C subnet mask with an assigned default gateway, these were configured by the telc

I don't think that is the issue. It is more likely that the ADC and Exchange 2000 cannot run on the same server. I've never tried it but I'm guessing that will be the problem. Can you install a new ADC on another DC and alter your primary connection agreements to this one. You should then be

[ActiveDir] Accessing Files thru RRAS

Hello everyone, While I conduct a search online for information, I was wondering if this group would be able to explain how I can access files after dialing in to a RRAS Server in a domain. I can pull up all the folders, but get access denied when I try to access them. While logged into the netw

I figured it out, the Windows 98 Machine I was using to test this was previously logged in to a domain that does not have rights to the other domain, and so since I didn't logoff, but just unplugged, it still had that user logged in and denied me access. On reboot, I canceled the login screen on t

[ActiveDir] DC can't "see" the AD Domain

[ActiveDir] TACACS support

All,   Does anyone know what AD's support is for TACACS? Has anyone tried it? I know we can do RADIUS, but we need to make a decision here as to which method to go with. If it can, we'll go ahead and develop a test plan.   Thanks, Marc Zukerman Senior Network Engineer Greenwich Technology Pa

FYI, in case anybody's interested - in my research on this I learned that AD stores the schemaIDGUID as an octet string, while uuidgen.exe creates GUIDs in string format. I found a few articles on MSDN about functions to do such conversions, but was too lazy to write the code. I found two pre-

We are using Cisco ACS 3.1 with active directory as the user database right now. Not sure if this is what your looking for in regards to AD's ability to support TACACS. Currently its (ACS) functioning as the authentication piece for some Cisco 5200's to control dial in / dial out POTS lines
