You can automate newsid with command line switches as well, and it changes the computername in the same process as well - fairly easy - I use that since I've been doing differencing discs with VMWare 3.x, then 4.x and afterwards VPC and VS (now testing VMWare 5.1 which has some very interesti

Did you try the vmware-mount.exe command yet?  Now that, I love!  As for the rest of this release of 5, let's just say it's quite definitely a beta. -- Dean Wells MSEtechnology* Email: dwells@msetechnology.com http://msetechnology.com   From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On

Hi Dean,   no - I did not test the mount yet - but I'm sure I'll love it. I tested the V2V and was very happily doing a delta of a VPC on VMWare - Cool. This and the snapshot-manager as well as the mount utility is something which is really missing in the MS Products (hopefully "yet").   Gru

I'd have to agree with Dean's thought on this - why would you not want to have the choice to integrate secondaries? Using App-Partitions you could control "bloating" of AD as well and mgmt would obviously be much improved. Take the _msdcs zone as an example - I like the idea of forest-wide zon

not sure about forcing - but usually works like this. Site link costing for DFS in 2003 is default (all the logic is on the server side - not the client). /Guido -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of David Adner Sent: Friday, November 19, 2004
