You can do this with segmentation on a DHCP network.

Hi,
On workstations we are trying to install W2K Pro multilingual, SP2, IE6,
apply french Pack and somes security hotfixes : Q282784, Q312138 and
Q320206.
SP2 run with success and the french pack too. But we are unable to apply the
hotfixes because the dll installed by french pack are to old
We have experience with roaming profiles. We store them on a cluster server.
The login script (which is now a login programm written in C++) restore user
profile when login in. In particular it re-create shortcuts and log the
users to their file servers
The users ressources are declared in flat
On a multi controlers W2K domain we want to secure profiles service to get
high avalaibility of logon service. We don't want to use a cluster server
(with the profiles on the shared disks) because of their cost. Of course
disk space used to store profiles can be a RAID array of disks.
