You're probably right about his use of altiris affecting
this.
To troubleshoot, have you found anything in the security
logs? Are auditing for these events? If not, it would be a good idea to do
so in order to check for this and research what's going on.

Subject: [ActiveDir] Account Expires Periodically
Now for a question
of my own.....
We have numerous
computer learning lab techs on campus but only one seems to be having this
problem.
About twice a year
he calls to say his password has expired again.
We have no policy
for password expiration (yet) and when I look in AD his account
appears perfectly normal, not expired or locked out.
Scoured GPO for any
hidden or overlooked possibilities and came up with nothing.
One thing comes to
mind.....he uses Altiris to reimage his lab machines shortly before the semester
starts and I can't help but think it has something to do with the problem. I
found a couple of KB articles concerning MACHINE passwords (computername$ -
the one that expires every 30 days by default) but nothing concerning a
user password that keeps expiring for no apparent reason.
Any
ideas?
Oh yeah, if I simply
reset his password, everything is fine.
